Allison City Council approved on March 28 for the mayor to sign to apply to the Department of Natural Resources for a contractor to start work to reline the sanitary sewer collection system. The council approved earlier this year awarding funds set aside for sewer pipe relining to Municipal Pipe and Tool Co. LLC of Hudson at an estimated $33,000, which is to pay for over 1,200 feet of collection system repairs.

After the Department of Natural Resources approves the permit for the relining project, called a construction permit, work can begin.

The lines will be videoed and televised as required, and the lines and manholes will be relined and repaired or replaced, as needed.
